To Kak Anie and Sara.. the recipe you wanted.

Potato Scones (refer to my post dated 10th Mac, 08)

Ingredients :

300 gm all purpose flour (tepung gandum)

2 teaspoon double action baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

125 g buttercup, or any soft margerine

2 medium sized eggs

100 ml full cream milk

160 gm mashed potato (boiled till soft and then mash)

sprinkling of ground black pepper

Method :

Sift the flour. Add baking powder, salt and margerine. Mix. Beat the eggs with milk for a minute or less, and pour into the dough above. Mix well. Add the mashed potato and pepper, knead till it becomes a smooth dough (not too long). Roll flat about 2 cm thickness and cut into round shape (about 5 cm). Brush with egg yolk. Bake at 200 C for about 30 minutes. Ready.

Potato scones

March 10, 2008 By: Min Category: Baking projects 4 Comments →

What’s for tea time today ? Me, my daughter and bibik baked some potato scones.. using the last few pieces of potatos left. The recipe is easy. Anyone who wants the detail, please let me know, ok. Here’s my little girl, Arissa trying to help out. She’s 9, by the way.

My scones (somehow I think the shape is a little off). Instead of making it into a ball shape, I should have rolled it flat and a little thick, and use a round cutter. Too late..

So that’s what we had for tea today, scones with butter and kaya.. I would definitely bake these again.
