BUTTERCREAM CAKE & CUPCAKE DECO

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Fee : RM250.00 per person

Topic :

  • Demo – How to make buttercream
  • Recipe for cupcake is given ( no baking included)
  • Introduction to piping tip/ nozzle

100% hands-on :

  • Making icing of different consistency
  • Colour mixing, handling piping bags
  • Cake – crumb coat and how to iced a cake
  • Decoration of one 6 inch cake with roses and basketweave
  • Decoration of 6 cupcakes, each using different nozzels  – teddy bear, piping gel, clown, elmo, bunny & swirl.

Students will take back one 6″ round butter cake and 6 cupcakes which they have decorated.  All ingredients provided. Students need to bring apron, tissue, sponge (for washing ), a 9 inch cake box and a high container for 6 cupcakes.

BUTTERCREAM SIDE DESIGNS

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm

Fee : RM250.00 per person

Topic :

  • Demo – How to make the suitable buttercream
  • Recipes for 2 types of buttercream is given
  • Recipe for cake is given ( no baking included).  Explanation on technique to bake mini cakes.
  • Introduction to piping tip/ nozzle

100% hands-on (using 6 mini cakes) :

  • Making icing of different consistency
  • Colour mixing, handling piping bags
  • Crumb coat and how to iced mini cakes
  • Making 6 side designs – petal, ruffles, basket weave, rosette, ribbon, textured.

Students will take back all the cakes.  All ingredients provided. Students need to bring apron, tissue, sponge (for washing), a 12 inch cake board and 12 inch cake box.

BUTTERCREAM FLOWERS

Time : One day course, from 9.30 am to 12.30 noon.

Fee : RM200.00 per person

Topic :

  • Demo – How to make buttercream suitable for flowers
  • Recipe for 2 types of buttercream is given
  • Recipe for cake is given ( no baking included)
  • Introduction to piping tip/ nozzle

100% hands-on :

  • Making icing of different consistency
  • Colour mixing, handling piping bags
  • Cake – crumb coat and how to iced a cake
  • Decoration of one 6 inch cake with flowers –  roses and rosebuds, chrysanthemums, carnation, daisies, dogwood blossom, lily of the valley and leaf.
  • Making ruffles for the bottom border.

Students will take back one 6″ round sponge cake.  All ingredients provided. Students need to bring apron, tissue, sponge (for washing) and a 9 inch cake box.

FONDANT CUPCAKE DECO

Time : One day course, from 9.30 am to 12.30 noon

Fee : RM200.00 per person

  • Introduction to fondant and gum paste
  • Demo – How to make fondant from scratch
  • Gumpaste (flower paste) recipe is given

100% hands-on :

  • Colouring sugarpaste and marbling
  • How to cover cupcakes with fondant
  • Dusting with Pearl dust
  • Decorating 6 cuppies with the above design – rolled roses, mini handbag, alphabets, angry bird, stencil and ribbon.

The fee includes all ingredients.  Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and tupperware to take back the cupcake.

FONDANT CAKE DECO – WEDDING

  • Introduction to fondant and gum paste
  • Demo – How to make fondant from scratch
  • Gumpaste (flower paste) recipe is given

100% hands-on :

  • Colouring sugarpaste and marbling
  • How to cover a round cake with fondant
  • Crimping & embossing
  • How to make swag, frill & ribbons (fabric effect)
  • How to make basic gum paste roses
  • Colouring with Pearl dust
  • Decorating one 7 inch cake dummy (Styrofoam) with the above deco.  We will not be using real cake, but you can bring your own cake.  Diameter not more than 7 inch, preferable solid like butter cake.

The fee includes all ingredients.  Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and a 9 inch cake box to take back the cake.

FONDANT FIGURINE – FARMLAND


Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm

  • How to make landscape
  • Decorating one 7 inch cake dummy (Styrofoam) with the above deco.  We will not be using real cake, but you can bring your own cake.  Diameter not more than 7 inch, preferable solid like butter cake.

FONDANT TEMARI CAKES

Fee : RM260.00 per person

Recipes given – yellow cake recipe, fondant & gumpaste, royal icing and buttercream recipe.  We will not be making fondant and buttercream in this class.

100% hands-on :

  • Baking temari cakes
  • Cutting, shaping and assembling the cakes
  • Colouring fondant and covering the cakes
  • Making royal icing
  • Decorating 4 units of temari cakes with Royal icing

The fee includes all ingredients. Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and a 12 inch cake box to take back the cake.

BRIDE & GROOM CAKE TOPPER

Fee : RM200.00 per person

Topic :

  • Recipe for fondant and gum paste is given. Please take note that we will NOT be making fondant in this class.
  • The figurines are placed on cake board, not cakes. Height – about 5 inches.

100% hands-on :

  • Making and colouring modelling paste.
  • Covering and crimping cake board.
  • How to make figurines – bride & bride groom free hand.
  • Making the wedding gown and suit.

The fee includes all ingredients. Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and a 9 inch cake box to take back the cake toppers.

FONDANT CAKE DECO – LACE / EMBROIDERY CAKE

  • Recipe and demo on making Royal icing.
100% hands-on :
  • Making a lace cake using a 7 inch cake dummy.
  • Covering the cake with fondant, crimping, embossing, dusting.
  • Ribbon insertion method.
  • Piping royal icing for the lace.

The fee includes all ingredients. Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and a 10 inch cake box to take back the cake.

NOVELTY CAKE – FONDANT HANDBAG

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm

Fee :RM260.00 per person

Topic :

  • Recipe for fondant and gum paste is given. Please take note that we will NOT be making fondant in this class.

  • Making a handbag cake from a real cake
  • Sculpting the cake
  • Covering with fondant
  • Embossing, crimping
  • Making fabric effect and dusting

NOVELTY CAKE – PILLOW & SHOE


Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm

Fee : RM260.00 per person

Topic :

  • Recipe for fondant and gum paste is given. Please take note that we will NOT be making fondant in this class.
100% hands-on :
  • Making a pillow cake from a real cake (about 7 inch in diameter)
  • Sculpting the cake, covering with fondant
  • Making the fabric effects- tassel, frills and pattern on top of pillow
  • Making the shoe according to your own design – shoe template will be given

The fee includes all ingredients. Students only have to bring apron, kitchen towel and a 9 inch cake box to take back the cake.

3 TIERS WEDDING CAKE


Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm

Fee : RM450.00 per person

Topic :

  • Introduction to fondant and gum paste
  • Demo – How to make fondant from scratch
  • Gumpaste (flower paste) recipe is given
  • Demo – how to make royal icing
100% hands-on :
  • How to cover cakes and cake board with fondant
  • Making frills and swags
  • Side pattern using stencil
  • Piping shells for border with royal icing
  • Construction of pillar and stacked cakes

The price includes all ingredients. Two bottom tiers will be real cakes and top is styrofoam.  Using ready-made flowers. Students  have to bring apron, kitchen towel & boxes ( 14 inch and 9 inch) to take back the cakes.

SUGAR BOX


Time : One day course, from 9.30 am to 12.30 noon

Fee : RM200.00 per person

Topic :

  • Demo – How to make pastillage
  • Demo – how to make royal icing

100% hands-on :

  • How to make a heart-shaped box from pastillage
  • Piping shells and scrolls with royal icing

The fee includes all ingredients.   Students  have to bring apron, kitchen towel & 8 inch box to take back the box.

FANCY COOKIE DECO

Time : One day course, from 9.30 am to 12.30 noon

Fee : RM200.00 per person

Topic :

  • Demo and hands-on making vanilla sugar cookies from scratch
  • Free recipe : chocolate cookies
  • Making Royal icing
100% hands-on :
  • How to adjust consistency of Royal icing for decorating
  • Colouring royal icing
  • Piping and flooding techniques
  • Decorating the cookies that we bake with Royal Icing
