There were extra cookies left after the class, so I thought I’ll show you how to decorate them with fondant instead.  You can find the recipe for fondant here.  Or buy it ready-made.  For the cookies, you can follow the sugar cookie recipe.   To make a chocolate version of the cookies – substitute the 3 cups of flour with 2 1/2 cup flour + 1/2 cup cocoa powder + 1 teaspoon espresso powder/ nescafe.  The rest of the recipe is the same.

Ok, decorating a cookie with fondant is super simple.  First roll the fondant and use back the same cookie cutter, to cut the fondant.   To glue the fondant to the cookie, brush with some jam or piping gel.

That’s it.  Then you can create pretty design with embossing tools.

And mold.

Finish-off by brushing them with pearl or luster dust.   These are only a few ways to decorate the cookies using fondant.  Hope it’ll give you some ideas. Have a great week, friends.  Bye for now.
