BAKING PROJECT

Salam and hi everyone… sorry for the long silence. Just got back from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The students there were great, love meeting them all. Many thanks to all who came. This is my first time conducting a class in KK. Spent a few days before preparing the fondants and trying to remember to bring everything.. Manage to pack and we left in a hurry to the Airasia terminal – me, my hubby and daughter Arissa. But guess what, I had the worst day of my life when checking in at the airport ! I forgot to bring my 10 year old daughter’s birth certificate. We begged with the officer but they wouldn’t allow my daughter to board the plane.. I think I almost cried, to see the look on her face when she knew she couldn’t come with us. On top of it all, our luggage exceeded the permitted weight and kena denda lagi.. it was supposed to be ok if all 3 of us board the plane together. So in the end, we left our daughter under my parent’s care. And my mom was kind enough to come to KK with my daughter on the first flight the next day. Reunited, at last ! What a trauma it had caused us.. Going back to KL from KK was equally unpleasant, our flight was delayed and we reached home like a zombie at 3 am in the morning ! Hopefully my next experience with AirAsia will be better.

Sabah was great, the sight of Mount Kinabalu was breathtaking, as always.
